Arborists are trained individuals who provide proper care to trees. By definition, we are individuals who are trained in the art and science of planting, caring for and maintaining individual trees. Certified arborists have at least a minimum of three years experience and have successfully completed a
comprehensive examination process.

We must also continue our education to maintain our certification, and stay up to date on the latest techniques in arboriculture.

• A membership in professional organizations such as the National Arborist Association (NAA) or the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) which demonstrates a willingness on the part of the Arborist to stay up on the latest information and techniques used.
• Ask for proof of insurance.
• Ask for references and don't hesitate to check them or even visit a job site to see the quality of work.
• Don't always accept the lowest bid. You get what you pay for!
• Verify the credentials to determine reliability and knowledge in order to make your decision on the best price.
